About the role
The Environment and Delivery Manager will own the end-to-end environment strategy and coordinate the provisioning, maintenance, and support of various testing and production-like environments. They will also lead release management activities, including planning, deployment, and governance to ensure low-risk and auditable releases.

Your responsibilities:
Environment Management
- Own the end-to-end environment strategy for the ASX 24 project.
- Coordinate provisioning, availability, maintenance, and support of test, integration, UAT, CDE, and production-like environments.
- Manage environment schedules, dependencies, and competing demands across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure environments are fit for purpose and available to support agreed testing milestones.
- Monitor environment health, stability, and readiness, escalating risks and issues as required.
Release Management
- Develop and maintain integrated release calendars across ASX, vendors, and internal technology teams.
- Coordinate release planning, deployment activities, rollback procedures, and production readiness reviews.
- Manage release governance, approvals, and change processes.
- Facilitate release rehearsals and implementation readiness activities.
- Ensure releases are executed in a controlled, auditable, and low-risk manner.
Testing Enablement
- Work closely with the Testing Lead and QA teams to ensure environments meet testing requirements.
- Coordinate environment readiness for End-to-End Testing, integration testing, and customer testing activities.
- Track environment-related defects, dependencies, and blockers.
- Support test execution planning and scheduling activities.
Customer & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary contact for environment and release matters across project teams and external participants.
- Coordinate customer access, environment onboarding, and testing support activities.
- Facilitate workshops and planning sessions involving technology, testing, operations, vendors, and customers.
- Provide regular status reporting on environment readiness and release progress.
Implementation Readiness
- Support Industry-Wide Testing (IWT) and implementation readiness activities.
- Lead deployment rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and operational readiness exercises.
- Coordinate go-live planning, cutover preparation, and implementation governance.
- Contribute to contingency planning and risk mitigation strategies.
Governance & Reporting
- Maintain environment and release governance artefacts.
- Produce regular reporting on risks, issues, dependencies, environment usage, and release status.
- Ensure adherence to ASX delivery, change management, and operational risk frameworks.
Your experience and qualifications
Must have:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Environment Management, Release Management, Program Delivery, or Test Management roles.
- Experience managing complex environments across large-scale technology transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, testing phases, and release processes.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams.
- Demonstrated risk management and issue resolution capability.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Experience and knowledge of release management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Experience supporting large-scale customer testing or industry-wide testing programs.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tooling, release automation, and environment orchestration.
- Experience supporting major implementation or cutover events.
- Experience in highly regulated financial environments including clearing, trading, or exchange technology environments.
- Worked in a cross-functional, agile delivery team.
- Comfortable presenting at various forums and to senior stakeholders.
