The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Network / Cybersecurity intern who can work 32 hours a week for a minimum of 10-weeks for the Summer 2026 session! You will have the opportunity to learn about and support a CACI program with the Department of

Defense enterprise network modernization.

  • This position will require you to work 100% in office at our High point, NC location during the entirety of the internship.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting an engineering team to design and support network modernization solutions across the project life cycle.
  • Overseeing the completion of tasks under the direction of a senior Engineer.
  • Conducting research and gathering data to support project decision-making.
  • Identifying risks, roadblocks, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Providing general support to engineering team as required.
  • All interns will be expected to conduct a final summary presentation on your projects and experience to the Division. Select interns may be chosen to present to leaders in our headquarters office as wel

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • You must minimally be a graduating High School Senior with demonstrated academic achievement and technical aptitude.
  • Must currently be enrolled in full-time Undergraduate or Graduate student in a relevant field of study
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable to position)
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Technical experience or knowledge of basic data network communications and computer operations.
  • Coursework providing background in data network communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software applications
  • Ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians. Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to travel to other CACI Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
  • Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
  • Technical experience or knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Aruba is preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • CCNA Cybersecurity (highly preferred),
  • CompTIA Network+, and/or CompTIA Security+ certification required. Candidates must already hold one or multiple certifications or be actively pursuing them with the expectation of completion prior to the internship start date.

Desired:

  • Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related degree is preferred
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
  • Previous experience with Network or Cybersecurity related Internship
  • Military experience or experience working with government personnel

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,400 - $75,900
