About Invoca:

Invoca is the revenue execution and platform leader that helps marketing, commerce, and contact center teams turn every conversation into revenue. Through its AI agents, Invoca engages, qualifies, and converts customers across SMS and voice, orchestrating seamless buyer journeys and measurable, profitable growth. With over 300 employees, 2,000+ customers, and $100M in revenue, the company continues to lead the category it created. Invoca's AI vision centers on using trustworthy, first-party data to deliver intelligent, authentic, and empathetic AI — connecting digital and human experiences to build lasting customer relationships. Invoca has raised $184M from leading investors, including Upfront Ventures, Accel, Silver Lake Waterman, H.I.G. Growth Partners, and Salesforce Ventures.

About the Team:

At Invoca, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise across revenue-driven conversational intelligence. To usher in this new era, we are looking for AI-native thinkers and executors across every function.

We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-moving environments and bring an experimental mindset to their work—rapidly testing ideas, learning quickly, and constantly looking for simpler, more delightful experiences for every user.

About the Role:

We are completely modernising the Invoca platform for product led growth. In order to do that, we are fundamentally rethinking how our platform feels and performs across all of our products with a strong focus on stewarding a new modern design language - Rapport.

Our Product Design team touches every surface of the Invoca platform. Rapport is the shared foundation that powers every Invoca product surface across Agent Studio, AI Signals, Signal Discovery, Agent Quality Management, Insights and Analytics and the growing portfolio of agentic experiences. Rapport is not a style guide or a Figma library. It is the connective tissue between design intent and product reality at scale: a living system of tokens, components, patterns, documentation, and tooling that designers and engineers across Invoca depend on every day to build with speed, quality, and consistency.

In the AI-native era, Rapport must be machine-readable as well as human-readable: tokens need semantic structure that AI tools can reason about, documentation needs to serve both the designer using Figma and the AI coding tool generating product UI across Claude/ Cursor etc. This is the environment you're stepping into, and it is exactly the right moment to shape how Invoca builds coherent, intelligent, and high-quality experiences across the platform.

You Will:

You will own Rapport’s design foundations: tokens, visual language, patterns, components, and the principles that connect them. You’ll shape how color, typography, spacing, iconography, motion, interaction, and emerging AI experience patterns come together to make Invoca feel like one cohesive product—not a collection of disconnected surfaces.

Working closely with engineering, you will make system-level decisions that cascade across the product. That requires exceptional design craft, strong systems thinking, technical fluency, and the judgment to know when to create a constraint, when to create flexibility, and when the system itself needs to evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve Invoca’s visual language. Establish the system-level decisions around color, typography, spacing, iconography, motion, and interaction that make our experiences feel intentional, cohesive, and distinctly Invoca.
  • Own the design architecture of Rapport. Evolve tokens, foundations, components, patterns, and their relationships so the system can scale across Invoca’s product ecosystem.
  • Make consequential system decisions. Define naming conventions, semantic relationships, abstraction levels, and the balance between flexibility and constraint.
  • Establish design principles and tenets for design system usage that give designers and cross-functional teams a clear framework for making high-quality decisions without requiring alignment on every detail.
  • Raise the visual quality bar across the platform. Act as a final eye for system-level visual and interaction quality and helping teams understand not just what to use, but why.
  • Evolve Rapport for AI-native experiences. Define patterns and foundations that support intelligent, adaptive, generative, and agentic product experiences rather than simply extending traditional component libraries.
  • Make the system machine-readable. Partner with Design Engineering to structure tokens, patterns, documentation, and metadata so Rapport can be effectively consumed by AI coding tools, MCP integrations, and generative UI workflows.
  • Partner deeply with Engineering on implementation fidelity. Understand the technical realities behind tokens, components, theming, and front-end architecture while advocating credibly for design intent.
  • Partner with the Head of Design and Product Designers across Invoca. Help teams build with Rapport effectively, identifying friction and gaps, and using those signals to continuously improve the system.
  • Shape design system governance. Create contribution models, review processes, and quality standards that enable teams to contribute without allowing inconsistency and token drift to accumulate.
  • Help connect the system to the broader customer experience. Ensure Rapport evolves around how customers actually experience Invoca, not simply around an inventory of UI components.
  • Champion accessibility, consistency, and usability as foundational qualities of the system rather than downstream checks.
  • Influence the future of product design at Invoca by demonstrating how a modern design system can become an accelerator for designers, engineers, and AI - not simply a shared library.

You Have:

  • You’re an exceptional product designer with deep systems thinking and a strong attention to detail on visual craft. You can zoom out to see how a design decision affects an entire product ecosystem, then zoom in and obsess over the details that make an interface feel considered.
  • You’ve worked on mature design systems and understand that the hardest part isn't creating components - it’s the architectural decisions and creating a coherent language, establishing principles, patterns and helping an organization use them well.
  • You’re equally comfortable in Figma, GitHub and a design-system discussion with engineers, and a strategic conversation with product leadership.
  • You have expert-level visual and product design craft, with a sophisticated understanding of color, typography, spacing, composition, iconography, interaction, and motion - and how they work together as a unified visual language.
  • You have a strong visual point of view. You can articulate what good looks like, explain why a direction works, and hold a high quality bar without relying on subjective preference.
  • You know how to evolve a mature design language without fragmenting it, balancing consistency with the needs of individual product teams.
  • You can make complex token and architecture decisions understandable to non-specialists, helping product leadership see the value of the underlying system without oversimplifying it.
  • You’re interested in making design systems more machine-readable and AI-native. You understand semantic naming, token architecture, and how design-system documentation can be structured for AI tools.
  • You’ve been a quality bar holder for a system used by many designers. You’re comfortable navigating disagreement, making clear decisions, and maintaining a high standard in a way that builds trust rather than creating friction.
