Full description

Build the software that helps powerful computing systems operate with purpose and precision. At GIGATEC, you’ll develop, enhance, and sustain information management software and services infrastructure for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment. You’ll apply Python development skills to solve practical engineering challenges, work with PostgreSQL and SQL technologies, and support automated deployments through Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization. If you enjoy connecting software craftsmanship with the complexity of large-scale computing, this role offers the opportunity to shape the services behind the systems.

Required Skills

  • Experience using Linux CLI and Linux tools.
  • Recent software development experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks, including Ansible for deployment orchestration.
  • Familiarity with SQL technologies, including PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Podman, and containerd.
  • Experience using Git for source control.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as NetBox.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Appreciates a sense of humor and the occasional well-timed joke. 😂
