Overview
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and support financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and business decision-making across the organization.
The Financial Analyst will analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide meaningful insights to help business leaders understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting or finance who enjoys working with data, analyzing trends, and translating financial information into actionable business insights. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, building financial models and reports, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial results, trends, and variances to identify key drivers of business performance.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare financial models, reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
- Perform P&L analysis and investigate significant variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Review financial data and develop insights to support business and operational decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
- Work with large datasets using Excel and other financial/analytical tools.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, FP&A, or a related finance function.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L analysis, and accounting principles.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with large datasets and build financial models.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with ERP or financial systems is a plus.
This position is based at our Camden, NJ location and requires employees to work onsite five days per week. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to and work from the Camden, NJ office Monday through Friday.
We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $76,617.72.00 - $106,156.96.00. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
