Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Leadership

- Coach senior engineers and technical leads; support hiring, onboarding, performance development, and succession planning.
- Establish a high-ownership culture focused on technical depth, accountability, quality, and customer impact.
Technical & Product Execution
- Drive architecture and execution for S3DS, NSDS, and managed Lustre service capabilities within the EXAScaler portfolio.
- Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap priorities into engineering plans, acceptance criteria, and measurable deliverables.
- Guide design decisions across distributed storage, metadata, protocol services, API layers, availability, scalability, and serviceability.
- Balance new feature development with maintainability, performance, reliability, and lifecycle management.
Cloud Operations, Reliability & Supportability
- Build production-ready engineering practices for managed storage services, including release readiness, observability, runbooks, and change controls.
- Lead incident response, L3 investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous operational improvement.
- Drive automation for diagnostics, telemetry, deployment validation, and service health reporting.
- Partner with Support, Customer Success, Field Engineering, and Cloud Operations to improve customer experience and reduce escalation load.
Cross-functional & Customer Leadership
- Represent engineering in customer escalations, executive reviews, account recovery plans, roadmap discussions, and technical deep dives.
