Evolver Federal is looking for a Database Administrator / DASH Lead to join our team supporting our federal client located onsite in Bethesda, MD.
This position requires a hybrid work environment with onsite work 3-5 days per week in Bethesda, MD depending on the requirements of the program
Responsibilities:
- Provide database administration for SQL Server 2016–2022, Oracle 19c, MySQL, Azure SQL, and MongoDB; perform daily health checks, monitoring, backup validation, and performance tuning at the database/application layer; provide database hosting, backup, recovery, tuning, and maintenance for facilities applications
- Manage ETL/SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and Power BI reporting pipelines; maintain data integrity and consistency across all managed databases; provide automated extraction, transformation, validation, and loading of facilities data
- Provide Secure File Transfer (SFT) setup and management using SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS protocols with full encryption
- Track all DASH deliverables, scheduled refreshes, and ETL/data-pipeline jobs against agreed due dates; distinguish DASH-controlled work from upstream source-data issues and customer-caused dependencies, and ensure each item is completed, triaged, or documented by the agreed due date
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree along with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience
- 5 years of Database Administration lead experience
- 5 years of experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Azure SQL; Power BI, data modeling, ETL/SSIS or equivalent data-pipeline technologies
- 5 years of experience leading data quality and data reporting
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Level 5 (NACIC) security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology
- 8 years of Database Administration lead experience
- 8 years of experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Azure SQL; Power BI, data modeling, ETL/SSIS or equivalent data-pipeline technologies
