Job Description: This job is responsible for daily forecasting and analyzing of the bank's balance sheets, Net Interest Income (NII), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and interest rate risk sensitivity. Key responsibilities include partnering with Line of Business (LOB) leaders and teammates across Corporate Treasury, Risk, and the Chief Financial Office (CFO) to deliver a dynamic, accurate, and disciplined forecast by product, LOB, and legal entity under baseline and/or stress scenarios.

Balance Sheet Management (BSM) is a Treasury organization responsible for providing executive management with accurate and timely balance sheet and Net Interest Income (NII) forecasts. BSM also plays a critical role in measuring, monitoring, and analyzing Interest Rate Risk (IRR) through a variety of methodologies. This work provides the framework that enables the company to position its balance sheet in a manner consistent with its risk appetite and expectations for changes in interest rates.

BSM maintains close partnerships across the enterprise and provides key input into many of the company's most important strategic and financial processes, including:

- Balance sheet composition and interest rate risk strategy.

- Strategic planning and the company's three-year outlook in partnership with Corporate Planning and Finance.

- Development of funds transfer pricing and profitability frameworks to ensure efficient balance sheet utilization.

- Enterprise stress testing under adverse economic scenarios in partnership with the Enterprise Stress Testing team.

- Production of balance sheet and NII forecasts in coordination with the Lines of Business and Global Liquidity Management for Climate Risk, Resolution Planning, and Recovery Planning exercises.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers forecast analysis and reporting with accuracy, presenting results to senior management
  • Applies subject matter expertise of the key drivers of the Line of Business, Product balance sheet and Net Interest Income (NII) forecasts, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and FDIC expenses, challenging the forecast and highlighting potential risks
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance or simplify processes, improving analytical capabilities for stakeholders
  • Delivers forecasting, securitization, deposit pricing, and annual report disclosures with a high level of autonomy
  • Develops and maintains balance sheet forecasts primarily focused on loan and deposit portfolios, including pricing assumptions and key business drivers, across short-term, baseline, stress, and recovery and resolution planning scenarios·
  • Produces analytics and actionable insights to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends impacting balance sheet positioning and pricing strategies·
  • Serves as a stakeholder in product pricing forums and provides expertise on pricing strategy and competitive market dynamics·         Partners across Treasury, BSM, and model development teams to support forecast assumptions, model enhancements, and balance sheet strategy·
  • Performs daily, monthly, and quarterly monitoring of approximately $2T in Bank of America deposits, evaluating balance sheet positioning and key business drivers·
  • Conducts ad hoc analyses and delivers recommendations that support Treasury decision-making and senior management reporting  

  

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (quantitative finance, financial analysis, economics, or business administration preferred)
  • Excellent analytical and complex problem resolution skills
  • Balance Sheet product and Net Interest Income business acumen
  • Understanding of financial market dynamics, interest rates, accounting, and financial products
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
