Database Administrator

Design, implement and maintain databases. Install database management systems (DMBS). Develop procedures for day-to-day maintenance and problem resolution.

Summary: As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing procedures to support daily maintenance and resolve any issues that arise. Collaboration with various teams to support database-related needs and continuous improvement of database environments is a key part of the daily routine.

Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure database solutions align with organizational goals. - Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency. - Lead efforts to document database configurations, policies, and procedures. - Support the implementation of security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in SAP BTP Integration Suite. - Strong knowledge of database architecture, design, and implementation best practices. - Experience with database installation, configuration, and upgrades. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues effectively. - Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. - Proficient in performance monitoring and optimization techniques.

Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP BTP Integration Suite. - This position is based at our Manila office.
