Overview
Atlassian's software helps teams everywhere plan, track, and collaborate on their work, and our customers trust us to keep that work secure and reliable at massive scale. The Audit Platform and Guard is the security and data-governance layer for Atlassian. It gives admins the centralized controls and visibility they need to maintain and demonstrate a secure, compliant posture. By helping security and IT teams protect sensitive data, uphold governance standards, and manage risk at scale, Guard enables leaders to safely accelerate AI adoption and new ways of working
We're looking for a Mobile Engineer to help bring these security and audit experiences to mobile, building native iOS apps that let customers monitor activity, investigate issues, and stay in control wherever they are.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship iOS features using Swift; write clean, test-driven code.
- Translate UX/UI designs into intuitive, accessible iOS interfaces.
- Optimize app performance (launch time, memory footprint, network efficiency) and ensure high reliability through crash monitoring and robust error handling.
- Collaborate with backend, platform, and web teams to keep feature parity and consistent behavior across platforms.
- Handle sensitive customer data responsibly, with security and privacy built in from the start.
- Maintain high test coverage with unit, integration, and UI tests (XCTest, XCUITest); conduct code reviews and collaborate on technical direction.
- Comfortable stepping beyond IOS to contribute to Atlassian's frontend web stack when the work calls for it
Qualifications
- 7+ years of native iOS development with Swift; experience with Android is a plus but not required.
- Strong grasp of iOS architecture patterns, REST/GraphQL APIs, and push notifications (APNs).
- Proficient with CI/CD for iOS (Fastlane, Bitrise) and automated testing pipelines.
- Skilled in unit and UI testing frameworks (XCTest, XCUITest).
- A security- and privacy-conscious mindset when handling sensitive data.
- Excellent collaboration and communication in a distributed, cross-functional environment.
- Passion for solving complex problems and delivering performant, user-centric solutions.
- Exposure to a variety of modern iOS software design strategies
Nice to have
- Experience evaluating and adopting new iOS technologies
- Experience using analytics data to make decisions on architecture or UI
- Experience with modern iOS libraries and components
