Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer/Consultant to design, build, and optimize personalized, multi-channel customer journeys. The role involves translating business and marketing requirements into scalable Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions while ensuring data quality, platform governance, campaign performance, and compliance with privacy and communication standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and execute campaigns using Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, and Contact Builder.
- Develop responsive and personalized email templates using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and Server-Side JavaScript.
- Build automated customer journeys, triggered communications, segmentation logic, and data-driven personalization.
- Create and maintain data extensions, SQL queries, imports, extracts, filters, and scheduled automations.
- Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and third-party platforms using Marketing Cloud Connect, APIs, SFTP, and other integration mechanisms.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs, technical specifications, effort estimates, and implementation plans.
- Conduct campaign testing, quality assurance, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Monitor deliverability, engagement, bounce rates, subscriber status, and campaign performance; recommend improvements based on insights.
- Maintain consent, preference, suppression, and unsubscribe processes in line with organizational policies and applicable data privacy requirements.
- Support platform administration, user access, business-unit configuration, naming standards, documentation, and release management.
- Collaborate with marketing, CRM, analytics, data, architecture, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide production support, resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and share knowledge with team members.
Required Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Content Builder.
- Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, HTML, and CSS; working knowledge of JavaScript or Server-Side JavaScript is desirable.
- Experience with data extensions, subscriber management, segmentation, personalization, and campaign automation.
- Understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, SFTP-based integrations, and Marketing Cloud Connect.
- Knowledge of email deliverability, sender reputation, authentication concepts, and campaign performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development, implementation, or consulting; the required experience range may be aligned to the role level.
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Engagement Developer, Administrator, or Consultant certification is preferred.
Preferred Capabilities
- Experience with CloudPages, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, Personalization, or Data Cloud.
