Context of the role Reporting to the Software Engineering Lead, you will be part of the engineering team who is responsible for developing our core business products and getting them to production in the most efficient and fastest way possible. You will be involved in architecture, tools and platforms to solve business needs and tools around internal processes automation to improve quality and performance of internal clients. As part of the Engineering team, based in Europe, this role will bring you great opportunities to work on various projects, technologies, with a diverse range of teams.

Key responsibilities Thunes infrastructure runs in AWS, we use Kubernetes and docker. For Treasury Automation our technical stack is: Python, FastAPI, Vue.js, postgres, redis, Prometheus + Grafana + OpenSearch. As an engineer, you’ll be responsible for

• Developing and enhancing treasury automation product

• Building and improving time series models for forecasting cash flow

• Debugging production issues related to forecasting, configuration, data flow

• Ensuring reliability and uptime of the service

• Improving engineering standards and holding a high bar for code quality and simplicity

What we are looking for

• 4+ years of professional software development experience – you have worked on systems that are deployed in production environments

• A strong grasp of computer science fundamentals when it comes to dealing with API, web and backend systems

• A bias towards shipping early and iterating. We believe in making small incremental changes to existing system instead of large quarter releases

• Experience with python and pytest

• Math and statistical background, in particular experience with time series forecasting or eagerness to dig into it

• Experience with Vue.js and jest

• Experience in creating and optimizing complex SQL queriesSound like you?
