About

We are looking for a technically driven Proposal Manager / Sales Engineer who thrives in the intersection between engineering, commercial business, and customer interaction.

In this role, you will take ownership of technical proposals and solution development for complex power conversion systems. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, project managers, and sales colleagues to transform customer requirements into competitive and technically robust solutions.

This role requires a strong engineering mindset and the ability to engage in detailed technical discussions with customers, consultants, and OEM partners while maintaining a commercial perspective throughout the sales process.

You will also represent KraftPowercon at international trade fairs, conferences, and industry events, helping strengthen our market presence and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Development

  • Analyze customer specifications and technical requirements.
  • Define and develop solution concepts for rectifier, inverter, DC system, battery, hydrogen and power conversion applications.
  • Act as technical lead during quotation and proposal activities.
  • Perform technical risk assessments and identify deviations from customer specifications.
  • Coordinate technical clarifications with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing and service teams.

Proposal Management

  • Lead the proposal process from RFQ to final customer submission.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Manage proposal schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Ensure proposal quality, compliance and competitiveness.
  • Drive internal bid reviews and approval processes.

Customer Engagement

  • Participate in customer meetings and technical workshops.
  • Conduct technical presentations and solution discussions.
  • Support negotiations from a technical perspective.
  • Build trusted relationships with OEM customers, EPCs, consultants and end-users.

Market & Business Development

  • Support identification of new applications and market opportunities.
  • Collect market intelligence and competitor insights.
  • Participate in international exhibitions, conferences and customer events.
  • Contribute to product positioning and value proposition development.

Qualifications

Required

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems or equivalent.
  • Experience from proposal engineering, application engineering or technical sales.
  • Ability to understand and discuss electrical architectures, control systems and power electronics solutions.
  • Experience working with technical specifications, tenders and customer requirements.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Preferred

  • Experience within power conversion, industrial power systems, energy systems, automation or related fields.
  • Knowledge of hydrogen, battery energy storage, data centers, marine electrification or industrial DC systems.
  • Experience of international business and OEM customers.
  • Familiarity with standards such as IEC, UL and grid connection requirements.
