We’re seeking a motivated DevOps and Automation Engineer to join our Digital Technology Services team. In this role, you will support cloud operations, drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and mentor junior engineers. Working closely with architects, developers, and security teams, you will help deliver cloud transformation projects while maintaining performance, reliability, and compliance. Responsibilities

CI/CD & Automation

  • Support the design, configuration, and management of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Work with development, QA, and operations teams to automate workflows and enhance deployment processes.
  • Incorporate DevSecOps practices, including security checks and Microsoft Defender for Cloud integration.

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Assist in implementing DevOps practices across hybrid and cloud-based environments.
  • Contribute to infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Participate in implementing security and access controls, such as RBAC and Key Vault integration.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Support the deployment and monitoring of observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in deployment environments, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Participate in incident, change, and configuration management processes.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Document automation processes, create user adoption materials, and share insights with the wider team.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies to drive innovation and process improvement.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support cross-team collaboration on cloud transformation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (required).
  • Technical degree preferred; Master’s not required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and best practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Basic scripting proficiency (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP a plus).
  • Understanding of infrastructure as code concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Exposure to observability and monitoring solutions.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure infrastructures.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional fluency in English.
