THE ROLE

As a GIS Data Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain geospatial systems together with our customers and other Advians. You will work hands-on with geospatial data and take ownership of selected solutions, with support from experienced colleagues as you get familiar with them.

Your responsibilities include:

- Designing and implementing geospatial data pipelines and integrations - Developing and continuously improving GIS solutions - Taking ownership of selected solutions and their development - Working closely with customers and other Advian experts - Identifying and bringing forward ideas for improvement, automation and new technologies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We would be a great match if you have:

- Hands-on experience with FME and building data pipelines - Experience with open-source GIS technologies such as QGIS, GeoServer and Oskari - Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL/PostGIS - Good skills in Python and SQL - Fluent Finnish (must have) and English

It is considered a plus if you have:

- Experience with AWS or Azure and Docker - Knowledge of OGC standards - Experience with software development and version control - Experience with point cloud processing and related tools

PRACTICAL DETAILS

- Permanent and full-time position (part-time work also possible) - Location: Espoo or remotely from anywhere in Finland
