About the Role:

The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of software and business process solutions by gathering and analyzing requirements, facilitating stakeholder engagement, documenting business and technical solutions, and supporting software implementation and testing activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, communication, and writing skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, developers, testers, and project leadership. This role requires someone who can translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and effectively manage multiple high-visibility, time-sensitive projects.

Location: Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, a state supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MN, MS, NC, NJ, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, or VA. (No relocation assistance provided)

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders at multiple levels to understand business and software needs.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, working meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Develop business cases, user stories, use cases, process diagrams, wireframes, test documentation, and other solution documentation.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements for developers and testers.
  • Support software development, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Develop and maintain User Guides, Design Documents, Release Notes, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Review and edit technical and business documentation.
  • Support COTS products such as SharePoint, Tableau, and Jira.
  • Analyze customer requests, define solution scope, and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Manage multiple projects while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in business analysis or requirements gathering
  • Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements in a professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio for process modeling and documentation.
  • Experience with data mapping, data cleansing, and gap analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with user acceptance testing methodologies and execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or related credentials.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with cloud-based software development environments.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Tableau, Jira, or other COTS applications.
  • Experience with user stories, use cases, process/system diagrams, wireframes, and test documentation.
  • Experience supporting software testing and implementation.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
