Requirements

Requires a degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or energy engineering and experience managing large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects. Candidates must be fluent in English and Romanian with strong contract management and communication skills.

What you will do:

  • Lead the realization of utility-scale BESS projects in Romania from contract signature through commissioning and handover to operations
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and recovery plans to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Coordinate EPC contractors, suppliers, grid operators, authorities, and internal stakeholders across engineering, legal, finance, and operations
  • Oversee construction interfaces, technical documentation, permitting activities, and grid connection readiness
  • Drive HSE compliance, quality inspections, commissioning activities, and resolution of technical or contractual issues
  • Provide transparent reporting on KPIs, milestones, budgets, risks, and project progress while promoting continuous improvement and Axpo standards

What you bring & who you are:

  • Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or energy engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
  • Experience managing large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects, ideally within BESS, grid connection, or energy projects
  • Strong understanding of contract management, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery processes
  • Structured, solution-oriented, and independent way of working with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in international and cross-functional teams
  • Fluent English and Romanian skills; ideally, knowledge of another European language
