ABOUT THE ROLE

At ERC System, we are developing next-generation eVTOL aircraft and building the programme structures required to turn ambitious aircraft concepts into executed development programmes. As a Junior Technical Project Manager, you will support and drive the day-to-day engineering execution of assigned activities within our D250 and/or U250 aircraft programmes. Working within the Programme Management function and reporting to the Programme Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Engineer and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to coordinate engineering activities, challenge planning assumptions, identify risks and dependencies, and drive progress against agreed commitments. We are looking for someone who combines technical understanding with strong communication, initiative and ownership. You should be comfortable engaging with engineers, asking difficult questions and following through on issues

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate engineering execution: Drive day-to-day progress of assigned engineering activities across IPTs, ensuring deliverables, responsibilities and commitments are clear.
  • Manage engineering schedules: Develop and maintain detailed engineering work-package schedules with IPT Leads, challenge planning assumptions and monitor progress against agreed milestones.
  • Track risks and resolve blockers: Identify schedule deviations, technical dependencies and resource constraints, coordinate corrective actions and escalate issues requiring programme-level decisions.
  • Drive engineering coordination: Lead assigned IPT progress meetings, follow up on commitments and facilitate alignment between engineering teams on delivery-related matters.
  • Support milestone readiness: Coordinate planning and preparation for engineering design reviews, integration milestones and testing activities.
  • Provide execution visibility: Prepare clear progress updates, highlighting milestone status, schedule risks, recovery actions and decisions required by programme leadership.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering

or a comparable technical field.

  • Initial experience in engineering project management, technical project

coordination or complex product development, including substantial internships or working-student experience.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with engineers and

technical stakeholders.

  • A proactive, persistent and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to

challenge assumptions and follow through on commitments.

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with an understanding of engineering

schedules, dependencies and resource constraints.

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and escalate issues

constructively.

  • Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred• Experience in aerospace, automotive, defence or another multidisciplinary engineering environment.

  • Familiarity with engineering development processes, design reviews, system integration and testing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or comparable project management tools.
  • German language skills are an advantage.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Full-scale aerospace engineering, not concept slides
  • A 60+ engineer team at Ottobrunn
  • Real ownership and flat hierarchies: a modern startup culture where your input shapes decisions, not just execution
  • Flexible working hours, remote work, and competitive compensation
  • Health & wellbeing: EGYM Wellpass membership and subsidized lunch in our canteen
  • Office extras: espresso coffee, fresh fruit, and soft drinks, plus regular team and company events, and plenty more once you're on board
