Full description

The Android Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Android native software applications using Kotlin and Java. The Android Software Engineer will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Good working knowledge of Android SDK and Android Studio are essential for this role. Good knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, automated testing, and DevOps stack are also important. The Android Software Engineer will also have to collaborate with other team members, including other software engineers, product managers, business analyst and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.

• Collaborating with other team members to gather and understand requirements for new features and enhancements.

• Developing and maintaining Android Native mobile applications using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Android Studio.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.

• Familiarity with performance and memory tuning with tools.

• Understanding of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.

• Writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.

• Participating in code reviews and incorporating feedback from other team members.

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.

• Good working knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.

• Troubleshooting and debugging issues.

• Continuously improving the software development process and practices.

• Communicating with stakeholders and other team members to ensure project goals are met.

• Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to improve the software and the development process.

• The salary range for this position is from 3.374 to 4.459 EURO gross before taxes.** The salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
