Mobile Engineer - IOS Developer

This position is an on-site position in the Jefferson City, Missouri or Overland Park, Kansas office. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide full life cycle development of iOS mobile applications using Objective-C, Swift, and SwiftUI.
• Understand coding standards and implement them within code being developed.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions.
• Ability to communicate with the users to determine problems or design requirements.
• Ability to work on a team to complete programming projects in a timely manner.
• Ability to document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Independently maintain and enhance production banking applications for the iOS platform.
• Maintain Objective-C and UIKit code while developing and supporting Swift and SwiftUI features.
• Support Apple Watch and watchOS applications, WidgetKit extensions, app extensions, and related device integrations.
• Work with Xcode projects, schemes, multiple bank and environment configurations, code signing, provisioning, versioning, and App Store distribution.
• Support Keychain and biometric authentication, secure networking, certificate pinning, payment-pass provisioning, and other security-sensitive integrations.
• Participate in testing, release validation, production diagnosis, incident response, and documentation of customer-impacting issues.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in iOS application development, and programming in an Xcode environment.
• Knowledge of: Swift and SwiftUI.
• Professional experience maintaining and releasing native iOS applications used in a production environment; banking or other security-sensitive experience is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of UIKit, Objective-C interoperability, Swift, SwiftUI, and legacy-code maintenance.
• Experience with Apple Watch, watchOS, WidgetKit, app extensions, URLSession, and RESTful service integration.
• Experience with Xcode schemes, multiple targets or configurations, code signing, provisioning profiles, App Store distribution, and release troubleshooting.
• Experience with Keychain, biometrics, certificate pinning, secure credential handling, payment integrations, and third-party SDKs.
• Experience writing or maintaining unit, UI, integration, or release-validation tests.
• Experience working with RESTful web services, JSON, and XML is desired.
• Experience in building, testing, and distributing iOS and Android applications is desired.
• Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools: using AI coding assistants and design-to-code generation effectively with standard prompts, shared design tokens, the judgment to review, test and correct AI-generated code before it is committed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both the business community and the technical community.
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
