SCADA & OT Support Engineer

(Philippines)

Summary of Role:

This role is responsible for resolving ME (Managed Engine) tickets. This role reports to the SCADA&OT Support Manager and will be part of the Global SCADA&OT Engineering Team.

Currently, the SCADA&OT engineering team provides three main functions for the business:

1. Continuous engineering support for Global NSPS portfolio

2. Build and maintain critical infrastructure to support and monitor power plant assets

3. Executing value added service projects such as SCADA designs or upgrades

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve SCADA&OT related to ME Tickets such as:
  • Data/network communication failures
  • HMI graphic issues (FCON)
  • Tag mapping/Data quality issues
  • Alarms issues
  • CAISO RIG troubleshooting (for legacy Plants)
  • RTAC troubleshooting (where in our SoW).
  • SCADA software version upgrades
  • SCADA software driver module installation
  • Device driver installations
  • Tag points modifications
  • SCADA user accounts creation
  • Ensure that there will be no SLA violations.
  • Assist field technicians in resolving issues onsite and gather information whenever
  • necessary via phone and generate a report for reference purposes.
  • Support our NovaCommand Operators (AU, Chile, USA).
  • Will be assigned in an On-call SCADA&OT Support Task.
  • Participate in meetings.
  • Update the support playbook by:
  • Documenting the procedures on successfully resolved issues.
  • Accomplish the weekly performance metrics (hours spent, closed tickets), Billable hours per plant spent to create SCO
  • Comply with EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), company policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics and Communications, Instrumentation and

Controls Engineering

  • Accomplished user of Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools: Outlook, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written format in English
  • Must know how to prioritize day-to-day work
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Experience with SCADA applications such as Ignition, Wonderware, N3uron, Kepware
  • Experience with SCADA system integrations works, mapping tags, developing HMI

screens and creating logic scripts.

  • Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, MQTT)
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation Products
  • Experience with SEL Products
  • Knowledgeable in Industrial Networking
  • Basic understanding of Solar Plant Operations, Substation protection, Capacitor banks,

Solar tracking systems, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), Power Meters, Inverters, Controllers, and Meteorological stations.

  • Basic knowledge of approved cyber security practices
