We are looking for a Client Solutions Engineer to sit between Sales, Product and R&D, and own the technical and delivery side of the deal before it is signed.
This is not a demo-only role. You will shape what we commit to: what the solution actually is, how long it takes to deliver, what it depends on, and where the risk sits. Your job is to make sure that what Sales promises is what Delivery can build - and that the client understands it the same way we do.
The ideal profile is a Product Manger with strong commercial instincts, or a pre-sales / solutions professional who thinks like a PM. You need to be equally comfortable in a discovery call with a Head of Digital at a broker, and in a scoping session with our R&D leads.
Requirements
Solution Design & Scoping
- Translate client needs into a concrete solution definition: product configuration, integration approach, data flows, and required customization.
- Define scope boundaries and assumptions that feed directly into commercial proposals, SOWs and pricing discussions.
- Distinguish between what is configuration, what is roadmap, and what is genuine custom development - and price the difference in effort, not just in features.
- Build and lead tailored demos and POCs; own the technical narrative in RFP / RFI / security and vendor due-diligence processes.
Deal-to-Delivery Handover
- Own a structured handover to Implementation, Delivery and Customer Success once a deal closes: documented scope, assumptions, open risks and success criteria.
- Stay engaged through early delivery on strategic accounts to protect against scope drift and expectation gaps.
Product & Commercial Feedback Loop
- Act as the systematic voice of the market inside Product: track recurring client requests, capability gaps and competitive blockers, and turn them into prioritized, evidence-backed input to the roadmap.
- Partner with Product and R&D on what should become productized vs. what should stay bespoke.
- Help build reusable pre-sales assets - solution templates, effort-estimation frameworks, reference architectures, objection-handling material - so the function scales beyond one person.
Must-have:
- 5+ years in Pre-Sales / Solutions Engineering / Solution Consulting or Product Management, in a B2B / B2B2C fintech environment - with at least part of that experience in a commercially facing role.
- Deep familiarity with the retail trading, brokerage or online investing world - the kind of product understanding you build inside a trading platform or broker (e.g. eToro, Plus500 or a comparable trading / brokerage / wealth-tech company): trading flows, onboarding and KYC, market data, user engagement, monetization models, and the regulatory constraints these platforms operate under.
- Proven ability to scope and estimate - you have owned effort, timeline and dependency assessments that others then committed to contractually.
- Strong product thinking: you can take an ambiguous client request and return a defensible solution definition, not a wish list.
- Commercial orientation: comfortable in front of clients, able to influence a deal, and able to say "no" or "not like that" without killing the opportunity.
- Ability to work fluently with R&D - you don't need to write the code, but you need to understand APIs, integrations, data pipelines and why an estimate is what it is.
- Excellent English, written and spoken; client-facing presence with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support Sales teams in pre-sales phases for strategic or complex opportunities.
- Participate in client discovery calls to understand requirements, constraints, and success criteria.
- Assess delivery complexity, implementation effort, risks, and dependencies for proposed solutions.
- Provide input on delivery timelines, scope assumptions, and implementation approaches.
- Collaborate with Product and R&D to validate feasibility of client-specific requests.
- Help ensure accurate expectation-setting with clients prior to contract signature.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
- Strategic deals move faster because technical and delivery questions are resolved before they become blockers.
- Scope and timeline commitments made pre-signature hold up post-signature - measurably fewer surprises in delivery.
- Sales has a repeatable, documented way to qualify and scope complex opportunities.
- Product receives a clear, prioritized stream of market-driven requirements instead of one-off escalations.
Nice To Have
- Hands-on experience with API-based / embedded product integrations.
- Exposure to AI / ML-based products and the specific expectation-management they require.
- Experience selling or delivering into banks, brokers or wealth platforms in multiple regions (EU, APAC, LATAM).
- Background in equity research, capital markets or investment products.
- Experience building a pre-sales function from an early stage rather than joining an established one.
