The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate financial reports, statements, and analyses to management while monitoring the credit union's portfolio quality. They also manage cash flow and liquidity reporting while maintaining professional business relations with external contacts.

Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range. Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time. Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands and internal equity.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Management is provided with useful information and is appropriately informed. Financial statements, financial reports, research, and analyses are accurate, complete, and timely. Observations regarding controls, investment strategies, and policies are communicated to management.
- Financial functions are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, procedures and standards. The Credit Union's portfolio is closely monitored, and its quality maintained.
- Cash flow and liquidity reporting is accurate and provided on schedule.
- Positive, professional business relations exist with vendors and external contacts.
- Good coordination and effective communication exist with other departments. Assistance is provided as needed.
- Financial records, schedules, ledgers, and files are accurately, completely and properly backed up.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, and a minimum of 1 years’ experience in accounting/financial analysis experience; or an equivalent combination of 5 years education, training, certifications, and relevant professional and/or military experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Required Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of financial analysis and risk management concepts.
- General understanding of investments, financial research, and reporting.
- Knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, procedures, and financial reports.
- Familiarity with related regulations, statutes and filing requirements.
- Preference for working in organizations prioritizing personal humility, diversity, inclusion, teamwork, and collaboration.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 1-3 years of accounting/financial analysis experience.
- Internships, co-ops, or relevant coursework may be considered in place of some experience.
- Financial institution or credit union experience preferred.

- Willingness and ability to grow expertise within accounting, finance reporting, recording, audits, analysis and process improvement.
