JOB SUMMARY

Marriott is seeking a hands-on FLEX Senior Engineer, Reporting and Analytics. This role converts approved architecture and business requirements into working, tested, documented, and supportable Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) solutions. The senior engineer owns day-to-day technical delivery and directly configures pipelines and security, implements semantic-model extensions, builds analytics content, develops approved augmentations and integrations, executes testing and migration, coordinates releases, and resolves delivery issues. In this position, you will serve as a technical expert on system and reporting capabilities pertaining to Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI).

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of implementation experience with FDI, preferably ERP analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering FDI implementations across environment setup, configuration, pipelines, security, semantic-model extensions, analytics content, testing, migration, deployment, and production stabilization.
  • Significant hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Analytics Cloud and BI Publisher.
  • Demonstrated experience building enterprise reports, dashboards, KPIs, calculations, workbooks, and visualizations.
  • Hands-on experience extending semantic models and subject areas and working with dimensional models, star schemas, measures, dimensions, hierarchies, and data security.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience troubleshooting data quality, reconciliation, refresh, security, and performance issues.
  • Ability to work within approved architecture, identify delivery risks, recommend options, and escalate architecture decisions appropriately.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to gather requirements, produce solution designs, resolve technical issues, and manage multiple priorities in complex enterprise environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP Financials, Procurement, Projects, or related ERP Analytics subject areas.
  • Experience with FDI data augmentation, semantic model extensions, EPM data, external sources, and enterprise integrations.
  • Experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs, identity and access management, or related Oracle Cloud technologies.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Create detailed implementation plans, estimates, work breakdowns, dependencies, technical tasks, acceptance criteria, and release activities based on approved architecture and requirements.
  • Own day-to-day technical execution across FDI configuration, pipelines, security, semantic-model extensions, data augmentation, integrations, analytics content, testing, migration, and deployment.
  • Translate approved architecture into detailed build specifications, configuration workbooks, development tasks, test conditions, and deployment steps.
  • Configure and validate FDI functional areas, data pipelines, schedules, security mappings, environments, and operational settings.
  • Implement approved semantic-model and subject-area extensions, including measures, dimensions, hierarchies, calculations, row-level security, and custom data.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain FDI and Oracle Analytics Cloud reports, dashboards, workbooks, KPIs, visualizations, and calculations.
  • Build approved data augmentations and integrations that combine Oracle Fusion data with EPM or other enterprise data sources.
  • Prepare and execute unit, system, integration, regression, performance, security, and deployment testing and coordinate defect resolution.
  • Validate analytics against Oracle Fusion ERP and approved business sources and document reconciliation logic, data lineage, assumptions, and known limitations.
  • Tune SQL, semantic models, calculations, visualizations, pipelines, and data-access patterns within approved architecture and performance targets.
  • Use approved versioning, migration bundles, deployment procedures, and release documentation for technical changes.
  • Coordinate migration, go-live, production stabilization, quarterly-update regression testing, and adoption of approved FDI enhancements.
  • Prepare runbooks, support documentation, monitoring procedures, knowledge-transfer materials, and production-readiness evidence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve implementation and production issues involving pipelines, refreshes, data quality, security, semantic models, reports, performance, and integrations.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and corrective action for delivery-level issues and engage the Lead FDI Architect, Oracle, or the System Integrator when architecture or product-level decisions are required.
  • Make detailed implementation decisions within approved architecture patterns, standards, and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Escalate material architecture changes, standards exceptions, cross-platform tradeoffs, and nonfunctional impacts to the Lead FDI Architect with options, impacts, risks, and a recommended approach.
  • Coordinate developers, analysts, administrators, functional teams, and the System Integrator and manage technical blockers, delivery risks, and implementation status.
  • Review code and configuration, enforce implementation standards, and coach developers and analysts through hands-on delivery.
  • Conduct demonstrations, technical walkthroughs, and knowledge-transfer sessions for business users, support teams, and technical stakeholders.
