As a Functional Tester (QA)-Associate you will support regulatory risk compliance work by testing processes, reviewing outputs, and helping validate that client-facing solutions align with requirements. As an Associate you will contribute to project tasks, adapt to changing priorities, ask questions to build understanding, and develop your skills while delivering dependable work within our Risk and Compliance practice. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will work across client support activities in regulatory risk compliance, gather and review information from multiple sources, document findings, and help maintain consistent execution on testing assignments and team deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Supporting functional testing activities for regulatory risk and compliance client work - Reviewing requirements, test scenarios, and test cases to validate system behavior against expected outcomes - Documenting test results, tracking defects, and coordinating retesting across project timelines - Interpreting process flows and compliance requirements to identify gaps in testing coverage - Using data analysis and interpretation skills to compare source data, test outputs, and expected results - Assisting in test planning, test execution, and status updates for client deliverables - Applying knowledge of compliance frameworks, controls compliance, and regulatory reporting in testing tasks - Collaborating with senior team members to resolve testing issues and clarify functional questions
- Ability to actively participate in reviews of User Stories (functional and technical) in order to identify and help bridge gaps in requirements - particularly around use-cases and workflows (including considerations such as happy path, alternate paths, user-error, system-error workflows, etc.)
- Working closely with the Business and QA leads to obtain a thorough understanding of the application and the business being supported by the application
- Working closely with Interactions Hub Developers / Solution Architect / Technical Lead to understand the technical approach, technical specifications, and non-functional requirements that are integral to the software application.
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree - At least 2 -4 years of experience - Oral and written proficiency in English required
- Certification(s) Preferred: ISTQB
- Minimum of 2 year(s) of experience working with QA Testing skills.
- Proficiency in the use of test management tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, XRAY, etc.

- Applying experience testing regulatory or compliance processes in managed services - Demonstrating familiarity with health services operations and client support environments - Utilizing data analysis and interpretation to spot testing patterns - Communicating clearly, asking questions, and listening actively in team settings - Adapting quickly across varied clients, scopes, and shifting priorities - Learning technical standards, code of conduct, and independence requirements
- Ability to author Agile Test Plans and Requirements Traceability Matrices to ensure testing depth (i.e., number of test cases) and breadth (i.e., types of test cases) are commensurate with the number of story points/ complexity and effort intensiveness of the functionalities being developed and tested.
- Experience testing workflow applications built on the Appian platform preferred by not required
- Demonstrated ability to advocate and uphold the standards, best practices and protocols outlined in a Quality Assurance and Testing Framework. Ability to work in a cross functional team in a dynamic work environment while managing stakeholder expectations and scope.
