Full description
Greenjets is a British engineering company developing high-performance propulsion and autonomous aircraft systems. We bring together engineering, manufacturing, integration and flight testing to turn ambitious ideas into hardware that delivers.
We do things differently. We move fast, experiment and challenge conventional thinking to go further, faster and more efficiently. Our products are designed, developed and manufactured in the UK, supported by a robust, secure and ethical supply chain.
About the Job
Turn technical ambition into delivered capability.
As a Project Manager at Greenjets, you’ll own the delivery of a small portfolio of projects, bringing together engineering, procurement, production and test teams to develop new products and deliver customer commitments.
You’ll turn complex requirements into achievable plans, keep teams focused on priorities and tackle risks before they become blockers. You’ll bring discipline to schedules, budgets and decisions, with a practical approach that keeps delivery moving.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving business. Priorities will evolve and information will sometimes be incomplete. You’ll need to ask good questions, challenge assumptions and make the trade-offs clear—while keeping customers and colleagues aligned.
What You’ll Do
- Own delivery from kick-off to close-out, defining scope, deliverables, milestones and success criteria.
- Build and maintain realistic schedules, budgets and resource plans, making dependencies and competing priorities visible.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, production, integration and testing, ensuring teams understand what needs to happen and when.
- Manage risks and resolve blockers, driving mitigation actions and escalating issues early with clear recommendations.
- Control changes to scope, cost and schedule, ensuring their impact is understood and approvals are secured.
- Keep customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders informed, with clear reporting on progress, forecasts and decisions needed.
- Build safety, quality and relevant standards into delivery, working closely with technical and operational leads.
- Improve how we deliver, introducing practical tools and processes that help teams execute.
- Support bids and customer opportunities, contributing to proposals, pricing, contract reviews and customer engagements.
What You’ll Bring
- A track record of delivering complex or high-value projects against demanding timelines.
- Strong planning and project control skills, including schedules, budgets, resources, risk and change management.
- The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, build trust and secure action across functions.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing contractual commitments.
- Clear, confident communication with technical teams, customers, suppliers and senior leaders.
- Confidence using project management tools to support planning, reporting and decisions.
- A practical approach to uncertainty: identify the problem, agree the next step and follow through.
Experience in engineering, aerospace, autonomous systems or defence would be valuable, alongside an understanding of safety, quality and HSE requirements.
Additional Requirements
- A full UK driving licence.
- Successful completion of BPSS screening, or evidence of existing screening, as a minimum.
- Current SC or DV clearance is desirable.
