Role Summary

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you will provide strategic technical leadership for the design, development, and modernization of enterprise platforms supporting Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Order Management, Fulfillment, Logistics, Marketplace, and Retail operations.

You will lead architecture, guide engineering teams, establish engineering standards, and drive cloud-native platform development using modern software engineering practices. Working closely with engineering leadership, product management, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders, you will deliver scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performing solutions while mentoring engineers and promoting technical excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Define technical architecture and engineering strategy for enterprise applications and platforms.

· Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, cloud-native distributed systems.

· Architect and develop enterprise microservices and event-driven solutions.

· Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

· Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, platform transformation, and legacy system modernization.

· Establish engineering standards, architectural guidelines, and software development best practices.

· Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical governance activities.

· Partner with product management, enterprise architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise solutions.

· Design secure, resilient, and highly available systems supporting mission-critical business operations.

· Lead engineering teams through the complete software development lifecycle.

· Mentor technical leads and software engineers through architecture guidance, technical coaching, and design reviews.

· Drive DevSecOps adoption, CI/CD automation, observability, and operational excellence.

· Lead production readiness, incident response, root cause analysis, and system stability improvements.

· Promote engineering innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending adoption where appropriate.

· Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, API specifications, and operational documentation.

· Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement, quality, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

· 10–15+ years of progressive software engineering experience.

· Extensive hands-on experience with Java and enterprise application development.

· Deep expertise in the Spring ecosystem, including:

o Spring Boot

o Spring Cloud

o Spring Security

o Spring Batch

o Spring Data JPA

o Spring Integration

· Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems.

· Strong expertise in Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture.

· Proven experience architecting highly available, fault-tolerant cloud-native applications.

· Extensive experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

· Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

· Experience with messaging technologies including Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Solace, or RabbitMQ.

· Strong expertise with relational and NoSQL databases.

· Experience with distributed caching technologies.

· Expertise in REST API design, API lifecycle management, GraphQL (preferred), OAuth2, JWT, and enterprise integration patterns.

· Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and distributed computing.

· Experience implementing CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment pipelines.

· Strong understanding of software security, scalability, observability, and production operations.

· Experience leading enterprise-scale engineering initiatives and cross-functional technical teams.

· Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
