MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team working in Crane, IN. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs technical writing assignments with minimal direct supervision
- Develops materials that may not have prescribed standards
- The Technical Writer develops and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of technical systems.
- Typical products include maintenance and operations manuals, technical systems descriptions, logistical reports, project status reports, and design review documentation.
- This worker organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- 5+ years of technical writing experience with DOD/DOW documents
- Experience supporting the USMC
- Experience creating technical documents from scratch
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating, editing and proofreading technical manuals
- Experience with USMC technical documentation and technical manuals
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required and an active or current Secret clearance, or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
