We're looking for an Engineering Technical Writer who can bridge the gap between engineering and manufacturing by creating detailed work instructions, supporting project launches, and helping production teams succeed. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers, quality professionals, and manufacturing teams while making a direct impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Create clear, accurate, and concise manufacturing work instructions for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Engineering Technicians to document manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in project launch activities to ensure timely and accurate transfer of information from engineering to production.
  • Support the development and implementation of manufacturing tools, fixtures, and process improvements.
  • Serve as a manufacturing advocate within the Project Engineering Team.
  • Assist with mistake-proofing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide technical writing guidance and training to project team members as needed.
  • Support additional engineering and manufacturing projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical/mechanical certification, associate degree, or additional engineering/manufacturing training preferred.
  • Three or more years of Centro manufacturing experience, including rotational molding operations and secondary finishing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical information and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing software.
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools.
  • Metalworking and print reading experience preferred.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This position operates in a combination of office, machine shop, and manufacturing production environments. Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying temperatures as needed.
