Point & Pay by North builds and integrates advanced payment solutions for governments, utility companies, courts, HOAs, property management companies, and other industries with unique payment needs. Solutions cover the entire payment lifecycle, from paper and electronic billing to online presentment and remittance processing.

Job Summary: DevOps engineers build, test and maintain infrastructure and tools so that software can be developed and released. DevOps (development operations) is a series of practices and processes that help organizations speed up and automate aspects of developing, testing, releasing and updating software.

The DevOps Engineer will be part of the core DevOps engineering team within our Production Support team to continue to evolve the environments catering to developers, production and non-production environments and building the tools and processes to ensure our environments run efficiently and smoothly. 

What you'll do:

• Assist in the provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of system software, cloud, and virtualized infrastructure (automation and pipelines are key).
• Maintain existing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/Runners) to streamline release and development processes.
• Execute and update basic automation scripts (Python, Bash) for reporting, metrics, or operational tasks.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and providing escalation support within the Production Support team.
• Follow and update documented procedures for system troubleshooting, maintenance, and runbooks.
• Support system security standards by assisting with agent maintenance and vulnerability remediations (Tenable Nessus and Wiz).
• Maintain detailed technical documentation in Jira and Confluence.
• Work collaboratively within Product Support team workflows and actively share knowledge across the team. 

What we need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience
• Solid understanding of typical SDLC and Agile development methodologies
• 1-3 years of IT project experience with proven database and infrastructure work (MS SQL and PostgreSQL DB’s and virtualized guests using VMWare and XCP)
