Who you'll be doing it for

You'll join the mobile platform team on a UK government app, working on the app and the services that support it.

The team builds and maintains the common parts of the app, such as login. It also brings in key features built by other teams, and manages app releases.

You're engaged through hedgehog lab, a digital product consultancy and certified B Corp, also Great Place to Work certified.

For 20 years we've helped public and private sector organisations through digital transformation.

What you'll be doing

You'll look after the AWS environment the app and its supporting services run on.

You'll write the infrastructure as code in CloudFormation and Terraform, and decide how changes get released.

You'll manage Lambda, API Gateway, KMS and WAF, and own SigV4 authentication.

You'll set the standards for the team and review the work of more junior engineers. When there's an infrastructure question, you'll be the person people ask.

What's in it for you

You'll decide how the environment is built and released, and set the standard for the engineers around you.

Most of it happens from home.

What you'll need to be considered

You need extensive AWS experience, with strong CloudFormation and Terraform skills.

You should have hands-on experience with Lambda, API Gateway, KMS, WAF and SigV4.

You've guided other engineers before. You can make clear technical decisions when the team needs one.
