The Colorado Springs Ground Engineering Group is looking for a first line K-Level Manager to work on exciting programs like GSCCE and PTES to lead and manage ground system engineering teams performing critical missions to deliver technology to the Warfighters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing Systems Engineering activities
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, policies, procedures, and operational goals
  • Secures resources, manages suppliers, and drives process improvements
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Reviews and approves technical approaches, products, and processes
  • Develops, motivates, and manages employees to meet schedule and budget goals
  • Makes decisions that affect work unit results and schedules
  • Directs daily work unit operations and coordinates with internal and external contacts
  • Leads through non-management employees, often with varying levels of independence
  • Advises the work unit on tasks, projects, and operations, and supports daily operations as needed
  • Directly supervises non-management employees in daily operations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Secret Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

 

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Secret Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9 years or more of experience in engineering especially ground system engineering
  • 9 years or more experience in and engineering profession.
  • 5 years or more of experience implementing/maintaining requirements and problem solving.
  • 3 years leadership/management experience
  • Travel is required (10%)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • SATCOM domain experience
  • Project Management experience
  • PMP Desired
  • Earned Value Experience
  • Scheduling experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate within a team, leadership, customers and vendors

Summary Pay Range: $141,100 - $190,900
