POSITION OVERVIEW

ThreatLocker’s Solutions Engineers serve as technical subject matter experts, supporting clients throughout the ThreatLocker product lifecycle. This role works cross-functionally with customers, Sales, and technical teams to analyze business and technical requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, develop proposed solutions, and support successful implementation.

Solutions Engineers are responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Identify, investigate, and analyze business processes, procedures, work practices, and technical requirements to determine opportunities for improvement and support effective solution development.
  • Identify and monitor customer and business requirements, evaluate process or system inefficiencies, and recommend and implement appropriate updates to improve business processes, system functionality, and the overall customer experience.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert by developing detailed specifications for proposed solutions and supporting project planning, including scope, timelines, resource requirements, constraints, and implementation considerations.
  • Take ownership of developing practical demonstrations and proofs of concept (POCs) for proposed solutions and work with other engineers and stakeholders to support adoption and implementation while ensuring system functionality and quality.
  • Design, develop, and deliver product training programs using written documentation, instructor-led sessions, webinars, and other appropriate training methods.
  • Manage the post-sales lifecycle by providing technical specifications, solution guidance, and documentation for systems and software, including ongoing technical support through customer audit reviews.
  • Analyze data, processes, and current technologies to identify constraints, inefficiencies, and potential gaps within business processes, systems, and software, and recommend and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as a central technical reference for project and solution-related challenges by providing guidance, evaluating constraints, proactively managing issues, and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Support the Sales department during lead and product demonstration calls.
  • Work alongside Sales and other cross-functional teams to monitor the progress and implementation of customer and business initiatives.
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, knowledge sessions, and other industry events as a ThreatLocker brand ambassador and presenter.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in IT solutions.
  • Experience within the cybersecurity industry preferred.
  • Understanding of best practices regarding system security measures.
  • Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.
  • Experience analyzing business processes, technical requirements, and system functionality.
  • Ability to develop technical and functional specifications and communicate proposed solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of project planning, implementation, and risk or constraint management.
  • Understanding of the sales and post-sales lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
