Senior Full-Stack Engineer (TypeScript, AI)

We're eventfirst. We started in 2025 and are now a team of around 20 people. Our team brings together experienced event organisers and senior engineers.

We're building a platform for meetings, offsites and conferences. Today, the companies, organisations and agencies planning these events juggle a dozen tools, with no single place to see the whole picture. We're bringing that work together and using AI to make planning easier.

The people who know these problems firsthand are your teammates. You'll work with them to turn their experience into software that helps people organise better events.

We're based in Berlin, and this is a remote role with substantial overlap with Berlin working hours. You'll work directly with founders whose experience includes Apple, Airbnb, Tulip and Tourlane. Your role

You'll join a small team of eight senior engineers to build and improve features across our product. You'll have substantial ownership, a clear view of how your work affects the product, and direct access to the founders and event experts. AI is part of how our product works. You'll build features and workflows that help people organise events, and make sure they work reliably in practice.

Our tech stack:• Language: TypeScript.

• Frontend: React, Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Backend and database: Drizzle ORM with Neon (serverless PostgreSQL).
• Deployment and monitoring: Vercel.

Experience with TypeScript and React is strongly preferred so you can contribute quickly. You do not need prior experience with every tool in our stack. What you will do

• Build and improve features across the frontend, backend and database, from the first product discussion through release and ongoing maintenance.
• Work with our event experts and founders to understand user needs and shape practical solutions.
• Build and evaluate AI features and workflows. Work with our event experts to define good results, investigate failures and turn real examples into tests that catch regressions.
• Make architectural decisions with the team and keep the product secure, reliable and maintainable.
• Use coding agents where they help, and review and verify the resulting software.

What you will need to succeed

• You have shipped and maintained production web products across frontend, backend and database.
• You turn user needs into practical features with clear, usable interfaces.
• You have built AI agents or workflows using prompt engineering, tool calling and failure handling.
• You build evals from representative examples to measure quality, investigate failures and test improvements.
• You design clear data models and choose simple architecture.
• You use coding agents and verify their output for correctness, security and maintainability.
• You work independently and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.

We value demonstrated skill over a fixed number of years of experience. Nice to have

• Experience operating AI agents or workflows in production, including monitoring quality, managing latency and cost, and recovering from failures.
• Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Drizzle, Neon or Vercel.
• Experience turning domain experts' knowledge into software.
• Contributions to open-source projects through code, documentation, bug reports or reviews.

What you should know

• This is a full-time, remote role with substantial overlap with the team's working hours in Berlin.
• The contract depends on your location. In countries where we do not have a legal entity, we work with you under a freelance contract. We'll clarify the arrangement during the recruiter conversation.
