Description

The IT Database Administrator functions within the IT operation team of the IT organization and serves as a point of escalation a sub-set of like and assigned services related to data services. Additionally, Administrators assist Analysts / Engineers as needed with deployment of technical solutions and determination of operational readiness.

  • Ensure operational access, availability, and stability of assigned services.
  • Deliver resolutions and work arounds to routine business units.
  • Perform IT service maintenance planning and execution for routine business units.
  • Perform routine monitoring and governance of assigned IT services.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base and deliver relevant training.
  • Advocate for and support ITSM processes and procedures.
  • Fulfill or escalate service operation tickets.
  • Assist design teams with change control activities for assigned IT services.
  • Assist innovating and design teams with determining operational readiness of routine business units in
  • anticipating of IT service changes.
  • Provide Operational training.
  • Support planning and execution of feature implementation.
  • Collect IT service operation key performance indicators (KPI).

Requirements

  • Experience with advanced technical administration for enterprise solutions.

  • Fluent in the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Associates degree in applicable field or equivalent experience / certification(s).
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server environments
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL including backup/restore recovery models
  • Familiarity with script writing (i.e., Powershell)
  • Knowledge of database design and management best practices
