Overview
The Work:
The Full Stack Java Developer will be an integral member of an agile software development team supporting large-scale enterprise applications throughout the development life cycle. This role is responsible for performing software development and operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks while strictly adhering to agile methodologies and participating in scrum ceremonies. The developer will design and implement backend APIs using Java and Spring Boot, build secure and responsive user interfaces (UI) using React, and develop optimized PostgreSQL schemas and queries.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-stack design and development using Java, Spring Model View Controller (MVC) Framework, Spring Security, Spring Boot, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Design and implement modern and responsive UI components leveraging React, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, and reusable design patterns.
- Implement normalized PostgreSQL schemas and entity relationships, ensuring scalability and optimized query performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs for seamless data access and system integration.
- Support and document efforts for migrating data between legacy systems and newly developed systems while ensuring integrity and consistency.
- Plan, execute, and manage application deployments using version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to federal compliance standards such as 508 accessibility, enterprise security practices, and other applicable requirements.

Qualifications
Qualifications – Here’s What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5+ years of relevant full-stack software development experience.
- Strong Computer Science background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field preferred.
- Strong UI design and development skills using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS.
- Experience with key backend development frameworks and tools, including:
- Java, Spring Framework/Security 6.0+, Spring Boot 3.0+, Hibernate 6.0+, RESTful APIs, SQL/PLSQL, PostgreSQL, Maven, Git/GitLab.
- Expertise in database design, data migration methodologies, and scalability optimization.
- Proficiency with AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, ECS, Aurora, CloudWatch), Keycloak, Kubernetes, Maven, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and use of
- Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Experience configuring and optimizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines using industry-standard tools and processes.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
