We, on behalf of our partner, are looking for a Junior Technical Support & Operations Engineer to join their technical operations team. The role is ideal for an early-career professional or final-year student with a strong interest in IT systems, databases, networking, and IoT technologies.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of their technology solutions by monitoring systems, investigating incidents, analysing logs and database information and assisting more experienced engineers with technical troubleshooting and customer support.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to IoT platforms, connected devices, cloud systems, networking, databases and real-world infrastructure deployments.
Key Responsibilities• Provide 1st Level Technical Support for platform, connectivity and device-related issues
- Monitor system health, services, device connectivity and platform activity
- Investigate incidents using logs, monitoring tools, database queries and system information
- Perform basic SQL queries to retrieve, validate and investigate operational data
- Identify inconsistencies or anomalies in data and escalate issues when required
- Perform basic network and connectivity diagnostics, including IP, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, ports, and connection testing
- Monitor and investigate IoT device communication and connectivity
- Assist with the configuration, testing and deployment of IoT devices and sensors
- Analyse application and device logs to identify potential causes of incidents
- Maintain accurate incident records and technical documentation
- Follow established troubleshooting procedures and escalation processes
- Assist with technical checks during pilot deployments and field installations
- Communicate with internal teams and, when required, provide technical guidance to customers and partners
- Contribute to improving troubleshooting procedures, documentation, and monitoring processes
- Bachelor’s degree, ongoing studies or technical education in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in technical support, IT operations, networking, databases, or a related technical environment (We could also examine a strong graduate, who is willing to learn)
- Strong interest in IT systems, IoT, networking and technical troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Ability to understand and work with logs and structured technical data
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and connectivity concepts
- Analytical mindset and willingness to investigate problems systematically
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data or system behaviour
- Ability to learn new technologies and technical systems quickly
- Good communication skills in Greek and English, written and verbal
- Comfortable working collaboratively with more experienced engineers and cross-functional teams

Nice to Have• Exposure to IoT, embedded systems, sensors, GSM/LTE, MQTT, or other communication protocols
- Previous internship, university project or part-time experience in technical support or IT operations
- Familiarity with monitoring or ticketing systems
