General Position Statement:

The Systems Engineering Manager will provide leadership and supervision to ensure IT infrastructure supports the requirements of the company’s near-term growth goals and aligns with its long-term growth strategy. Also has overall responsibility for telephony, network administration and operations, computing, storage, cybersecurity vulnerability management, proactive systems monitoring, lifecycle mgmt. of the technology stack, data backup and recovery, disaster recovery data center, and various additional areas that are critical to supporting the bank’s business practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, install and manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, Network Security, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Monitor and control budgets for the department.
  • Develop world-class talent that excels with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, professional communication delivery, and strong business partner relationships.
  • Support and coordinate projects with the CISO.
  • Create and maintain an infrastructure roadmap to provide the company with redundant, reliable, and highly available technology infrastructure within the limits of budget.
  • Manage firewall and Intrusion detection systems. Experience with Citrix, AlienVault and SecureWorks, preferred but not required.
  • Support, enhance and update the VMWare server and storage infrastructure.
  • Support and update the email environment.
  • Plan the network infrastructure for new and enhanced BankPlus applications and services.
  • Support and monitor Active Directory, SCCM, and other enterprise support level systems.
  • Develop metrics to monitor the team’s success for on time and on-budget performance as well as meeting the planned return on investments.
  • Track and report project task progress and completion in a regular, systematic manner.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance project management processes to develop and deliver projects that meet prescribed benefits, budgets, and dates.
  • Design, plan, and execute significant IT projects to deliver new capabilities that support business requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage the relationships to ensure contractual requirements are compliant.
  • Maintain high standards in legal compliance, security, and IT governance.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing programs for physical asset protection, access control systems management, and video surveillance.
  • Ensure system uptime, performance, and availability service levels are defined and maintained.
  • Monitor and review logs from security and monitoring systems and advice on information.
  • Coordinate and execute IT security projects for the Bank.
  • Plan and support software defined networks.
  • Define and maintain RPO and RTO’s for all systems.
  • Support and maintain the MDM (mobile device mgmt.) solution.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
  • Conduct security research to keep abreast of the latest security issues.
  • Regulate access to various computer files.
  • Research methodologies and technologies, which improve efficiency, integrity, and reliability of systems and functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in the Bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
  • Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of similar experience required, particularly in Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with the following: Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange, network routing protocols, Local and Wide Area Networks, as well as VPN, Cisco routers and switches, and CISCO firewalls.
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • 3 years’ experience with DNS, experience with VLAN, LUN and VM setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with disaster recovery readiness for areas supported and controlled.
  • Previous Bank Plus product, services, and systems experience preferred.
  • General computer and typing experience Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Work, and Outlook.
  • Driving, and occasional travel, as needed for business purpose.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
