Mid-Level AI I Fullstack (Java I Angular) Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid-Level AI I Fullstack (Java I Angular) Developer based in Brazil.

This role combines fullstack software engineering with modern AI-assisted development practices. You’ll build and evolve backend services with Java and Spring Boot alongside frontend applications using Angular. The position offers the opportunity to apply AI and agentic development techniques to improve engineering workflows and productivity. You’ll contribute to Spec-Driven Development and use tools such as GitHub Copilot within the software development lifecycle. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions for the financial services sector. The role involves technical decision-making, code reviews, testing, agile ceremonies, and release processes. It is a collaborative opportunity for a developer who enjoys combining solid engineering practices with emerging AI technologies.

Accountabilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build and evolve frontend applications using Angular.

• Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, clean code, and quality standards.

• Use AI-assisted and agentic development approaches to optimise development processes and increase productivity.

• Apply Spec-Driven Development (SDD) practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Use tools such as GitHub Copilot to support development and engineering activities.

• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural and implementation decisions.

• Take part in agile ceremonies, planning activities, and release processes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

• Contribute to the development of scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-quality applications.

• Identify opportunities to improve development workflows, engineering practices, and the use of AI throughout the delivery process.

• Support continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements:

• Professional experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.

• Hands-on experience with Angular and frontend application development.

• Practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and AI agent development.

• Experience with or strong knowledge of Spec-Driven Development (SDD).

• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted software development.

• Experience writing unit tests and applying software development best practices.

• Experience working with GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Jira.

• Experience with Agile methodologies and software release processes.

• Strong understanding of software quality, maintainability, and collaborative development practices.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and make sound technical decisions.

• Adaptability and comfort working in dynamic environments where technologies and development practices continue to evolve.

• Interest in applying emerging AI capabilities to improve software engineering productivity and delivery.
