In this role, you'll lead research, design, and discovery activities across workforce management and rostering solutions, translating complex healthcare workflows into experiences that are easy to understand and efficient to use.

You'll play a key role in shaping product strategy through user insight, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and helping to mature our design practice as we continue to grow.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • Leading user research activities, including interviews, usability testing, and workflow analysis to understand customer needs and opportunities.

  • Translating research insights into journey maps, service blueprints, workflows, wireframes, and prototypes that inform product decisions.

  • Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to identify, validate, and deliver the most valuable solutions for our users.

  • Creating and testing interactive prototypes to improve usability, drive adoption, and shape product direction.

  • Facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, and design sprints to build alignment across cross-functional teams.

  • Using data, customer feedback, and research evidence to influence decision-making and advocate for user-centred design.

  • Exploring new technologies, including AI-powered research and design tools, to enhance discovery and innovation.

  • Mentoring colleagues, sharing best practices, and contributing to the continued growth of our Product Experience community.

  • Strong user-centred design skills, including journey mapping, service design, usability testing, prototyping, and interaction design.

  • Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong partnerships across Product, Engineering, and the wider business.

  • Proficiency with design and research tools such as Figma, Miro, UserTesting, Hotjar, Pendo, or similar.

  • Interest in AI and emerging technologies, and how they can enhance research and design practices.

  • Ability to work from our London office 2-3 days per week, with occasional travel to customer sites.

  • Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to solving complex problems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare, workforce management, patient safety, compliance, governance, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience simplifying complex workflows, dashboards, forms, permissions models, and approval processes.

  • Exposure to AI-assisted, conversational, or agentic product experiences.

  • Understanding of how user experience contributes to product adoption and business outcomes.

  • Experience helping establish design standards and ways of working within growing UX teams.

  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.
