Senior IT Automation Tester (Python + Robot Framework)

For our client, a dynamic international organization, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior IT Automation Tester to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the high quality of deliveries by driving both manual and automated testing initiatives.

Key details:

  • Rate: Up to 120 PLN/h net + VAT
  • Work model: Hybrid (3 days a week from the office)
  • Location: Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia
  • Contract: B2B agreement (signed directly with Optiveum)

Your responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating, controlling, and executing testing activities to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining test documentation, evaluating results, and assisting with defect management.
  • Implementing manual and automated test cases, along with continuous framework improvements.
  • Executing test cases according to project deadlines and reporting progress using dedicated tools (e.g., Qtest).
  • Providing testing support to effectively resolve any production issues.
  • Writing test cases for automated tests (using Gherkin or other languages) and applying best practices with test tools.
  • Analyzing requirements, creating test data, and setting up test environments and service virtualization to increase team efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders and capability leads.

What we expect from you:

  • 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Python and Robot Framework.
  • Experience with various file formats (XML, CSV, JSON, etc.) and HTTP protocols.
  • Familiarity with databases (MSSQL) and the ability to create SQL queries.
  • Basic knowledge of CI tools (Jenkins/Bamboo) and GIT flow.
  • Solid understanding of Agile software development principles.
  • Experience working with Atlassian software (Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced command of the English language.

Nice to have:

  • ISTQB Foundation certification.
  • Experience with Java-based testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber).
