Software Engineer II - React JS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 & CSS3

Scope:

• Advanced Replenishment team develops and supports enterprise replenishment solutions that enable customers to optimize inventory availability and replenishment decisions.
• The role involves hands-on React JS development, UI design and integration with middleware and backend services.
• The individual will work closely with product management, and development team.
• The position involves developing scalable, reusable and responsive UI components and enhancing existing AR capabilities.
• The individual will contribute to modernization, performance improvements and continuous improvement of the AR product.

Technical Environment:

• Frontend: React JS
• UI: React components, hooks, state management, responsive design
• Backend Integration: Node.js, REST APIs, JSON
• Backend: IBM i / AS400, RPG
• Development: Git, Agile/Scrum
• Tools: Jira, Git-based source control and development tools

What you’ll do:

• Develop & Deliver

• Develop and maintain React JS applications for Advanced Replenishment.
• Build reusable, maintainable and scalable React components.
• Integrate frontend applications with Node.js and REST APIs.
• Translate functional and UI requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Troubleshoot UI, API integration and production issues.

 

• Design & Architect

• Participate in UI architecture and technical design discussions.
• Identify opportunities for frontend modernization and performance improvement.
• Follow coding standards, reusable component patterns and frontend best practices.
• Contribute to improving application usability, maintainability and performance.

• Operate & Optimize

• Work closely with the team of QA, Node.js and AS400 developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and technical discussions.
• Analyze defects and provide root-cause-based solutions.
• Support releases and production issues when required.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 3–5 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in React JS.
• Strong proficiency in React JS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of React concepts including components, hooks, state management and lifecycle.
• Experience building reusable and scalable UI components.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and integration with backend services.
• Experience with Node.js is preferred.
• Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization and responsive web development.
• Experience with unit/integration testing using Jest, React Testing Library or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional Agile team.
