Tech Lead | React + Node.js | Remote - Spain

Job Description

At The Whiteam Consulting, we are looking for an experienced Tech Lead with strong expertise in React and Node.js to join a technology project.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader capable of taking technical ownership, making architectural decisions and guiding development teams towards effective and scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate should combine strong knowledge of software engineering best practices with demonstrable execution experience in large-scale enterprise projects, as well as a solid understanding of modern web standards, performance optimization, security and cloud/web architectures.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the project and provide technical direction to the development team.

• Make and communicate architectural and technical decisions.

• Guide the team towards productive and scalable technical solutions.

• Define and promote software development best practices and standards.

• Participate in the design and development of solutions using React and Node.js.

• Ensure technical solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with project requirements.

• Review technical implementations and provide guidance to development team members.

• Identify technical risks and propose appropriate solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement of the development process and technical architecture.

• Ensure solutions follow current web standards, security practices and performance optimization principles.

• Evaluate and adopt modern cloud and web architecture patterns where appropriate.

• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Support the team throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong experience with React.

• Strong experience with Node.js.

• Proven experience taking technical ownership of projects or development teams.

• Demonstrable experience making architectural and technical decisions.

• Experience working on large-scale enterprise projects.

• Strong practical understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns and architectural principles.

• Experience with modern web standards and development practices.

• Knowledge of web performance optimization.

• Strong understanding of web application security.

• Knowledge of modern cloud and web architecture patterns.

• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor development teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• English: Advanced level (C1).

• Valid authorization to work in Spain.

Desirable

• Experience leading technical teams in complex enterprise environments.

• Experience with modern cloud platforms and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience designing highly scalable web applications.

• Knowledge of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Experience working in international or distributed teams.

Conditions

• Location: Spain.

• Work model: 100% remote.

• Working hours: 09:00 - 18:00.

• Estimated project duration: 12 months.
