Job Summary

We are seeking a Salesforce DevOps & Release Engineer to manage our platform stability, sandbox architecture, and deployment lifecycles. The ideal candidate will build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, orchestrate metadata migrations, establish branching strategies, and minimize environment friction across multi-stream development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines specifically tailored for Salesforce metadata deployment using modern enterprise DevOps tooling.
  • Manage the end-to-end sandbox lifecycle, including environment creation, standard and partial refreshes, data masking setups, and org alignment tracking.
  • Establish and enforce source control branching models (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based) to enable simultaneous, conflict-free multi-track development streams.
  • Coordinate package-based and org-based deployments using Salesforce CLI, Salesforce DX (SFDX), and custom automated scripting.
  • Automate code quality and security gates, integrating static code analysis engines (such as PMD, SonarQube, or Salesforce Code Analyzer) into build pipelines.
  • Orchestrate scratch org structures and test-data seeding profiles to optimize automated execution runs within automated testing suites.
  • Lead release triage efforts, resolving intricate metadata package merge conflicts, component dependency mismatches, and deployment failures across production drops.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of core DevOps or infrastructure orchestration experience, with 3+ dedicated years specifically driving release cycles on the Salesforce platform.
  • Strong technical mastery of specialized Salesforce release management platforms (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Flosum) or cloud CI/CD infrastructure (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Deep understanding of Git, Salesforce CLI commands, metadata API package structures, and the Salesforce DX platform architecture.
  • Mandatory certification: Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform Developer I (PD1) certification.
  • Prior scripting background using Bash, Python, or JavaScript to extend pipeline automation frameworks and custom deployment handling.
