Java Developer – Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs & SQL

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Java Developer with 4–8 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications. The role requires hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST APIs, SQL, Maven, and Git. The successful candidate will contribute across the software development lifecycle, collaborate with business analysts, architects, and development teams, and deliver secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions. The role will support business objectives through effective application development, performance optimization, production support, and CI/CD delivery practices in an Agile environment.

Software Requirements

Required

• Java: Strong hands-on experience in enterprise application development.
• Spring Boot: Experience developing and maintaining production-ready applications and services.
• Microservices: Experience with microservices architecture and service-based application development.
• REST APIs/Web Services: Experience developing, consuming, integrating, and supporting RESTful APIs.
• Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of OOP concepts.
• Design Patterns: Practical knowledge of commonly used software design patterns.
• Maven: Experience with build automation, dependency management, and project configuration.

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
• Build and enhance scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications, Spring Boot services, microservices, REST APIs, and database integrations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, code reviews, planning sessions, testing activities, and collaboration with business analysts, architects, and development teams.
• Deliver application features, automated tests, deployment changes, defect fixes, performance improvements, technical documentation, and production support.
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, make implementation decisions within established standards, and escalate risks affecting security, quality, performance, or timelines.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.
• 4–8 years of professional experience in Java development, including Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, SQL, Maven, and Git.
• Demonstrated experience with software testing, code reviews, debugging, performance optimization, production support, and Agile delivery.
• Certifications in Java, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, DevOps, or Agile delivery are preferred but not mandatory.
• Maintain continuous professional development in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud technologies, application security, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
