What we want:

We are looking for a Power BI Developer with 1–2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Write and optimize DAX queries and calculated measures/columns.
  • Connect Power BI to various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, cloud databases, etc.).
  • Perform data modeling, including creating relationships, hierarchies, and star schemas.
  • Use Power Query (M language) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Collaborate with business teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization of reports/dashboards.
  • Schedule and manage data refreshes using Power BI Service/Gateway.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) where required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, report performance, and visualizations.
  • Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Pivot).
  • Exposure to Python/R for data analysis.
  • Understanding of Power Automate/Power Apps.
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300) is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service).
  • Strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M language).
  • Good understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact with business stakeholders.
